An application fee of Rs. 300/- is needed for BSW admission at IGNOU. This fee covers online expenses like website fees. Similarly to this, a university development fee of Rs. 400/- is also needed during admission. Students must submit this fee along with the IGNOU BSW admission fee.

IGNOU BSW Fee Refund
During the 2026 admission process, BSW-enrolled students can cancel their 2026 admissions. Under such conditions, the IGNOU BSW fee refund policy governs the amount of fees given back. Students get a 100% fee refund on BSW deposit fees before admission is finalized. However, a fine of 15% is imparted on students after IGNOU selects the candidate and reserves a seat for them. This fine is calculated on the course fee.
Fee refund is only available on IGNOU BSW academic fees, IGNOU application fee and university development fee is non-refundable. Nevertheless, students must apply for admission cancellation before the end of 60 days period from IGNOU admission last date.
